ShakeATower
We have arrived in another world. The hotel was not open but next door the Albergue had a key in the door with a sign on the window that said “Aberta” . It was raining & cold so we turned the key & went inside—no one was around —the rustic, primitive building gave us shelter from the cold.
They say The Camino is not walked, it is lived.
We decided we should make a fire as there was still hot coals in the pot belly stove but the pieces of wood that were around were all too big. Finally Celeste & Dwin found some weeds & sticks that they thought might help start the fire. It was like arriving at an abandoned shack in the woods. Some of our thoughts were of Abo—I think because of the stove. Just then a man appeared—we told him we had a reservation at the hotel next door so he told us we could come. Well the hotel is very rustic as well but the clerk is welcoming. Dwin says it’s like a hobbit dwelling. There is nothing in this town except for one restaurant, a store, a church & a pharmacy.
What an adventure 😎
