Roncesvalles, Spain

WooHoo!!! We did it!! 1st day was much harder than anyone of us, as well as everyone else that was walking today anticipated. We had a heavy rain ALL DAY long except the last 2km/1.2mi!! It was very muddy, very foggy, so many loose rocks on the paths, very slippery in areas that had some type of cement and very very steep!!! And of course it was further than 25km/15.5mi it was 28.5km/17 7mi!!! We are now certified billy goats! We followed cows for the last hour and a half into Roncesvalles!! Despite all that craziness it was absolutely beautiful!! We are tired but ok.
