There is a saying that the Camino will provide what you need when you need it.

When we were in Roncesvalles our mom needed a place to stay out of the rain until we arrived so a man named Garth from Canada who was also on the Camino spoke to "someone" and was able to get her inside the place we were staying and she was able to check into our place hours before the 1pm check-in time. They place also offered her a massage for her leg that was bothering her at the time.

We were sitting outside trying to find a place to stay on the next leg of our journey when we came across two men named Kristoff from Austria but living in Germany and a man named Bourn (sp) from Croatia. They asked to sit with us and told us of a place that still had 50 bed available. We called the Albergue, and we got a place to stay.

Walking through a small village named San Andres, a lady realized that she had lost her passport on the trail. She thought maybe she lost it when she stopped to get something out of her pack. Just as she was contemplating what to do, word of mouth got to her that it had been found. Police were standing outside the little coffee shop we were standing at, and they took her to retrieve her passport.

Walking into the town of Estella, our mom realized that she no longer had her headphones around her neck. Just as she asked me where they were, a lady came walking up behind us to ask if we had lost some headphones!

After walking 22km/14mi in the pouring rain and a steady incline, we had 2km/1.2mi into the village, and my legs just couldn't take one more step. We came across a place to get water, and as we stood there, I told my brother that I just wanted to cry. Just as I said that, two French ladies on the way to holiday in a van pulled up to get some water. They asked if we were OK and asked if they could take us into the village. My brother and I looked at each other and kind of just shrugged our shoulders. He told them that he was good but insisted I go with them. They took me the short distance to the village and we had the best conversation. One of the ladies was a retired teacher in France, and she taught English!

“All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”
